What a wonderful day...Wait...What day is it?

How is it even possible that it is November? I don't understand how it can be so. As I sit here listening to my instrumental Disney music, it is no mistake that Moana has presented me with some epically inspiring background music. As the beat continues to rise I feel inclined to tell you that I did have an inspiring and empowering idea to post how you should never give up on your dreams. How the grind is more than just a "grind". It is a journey to who we wish to become and the obstacles along the way are a necessity towards our evolution as educators.
Wow looking, back, that's not all bad. But if I'm being truly honest with myself, I have been struggling through this year. Each day I continue to attempt to tread water.
Whose idea was it to try to start a new job, with 5 preps, move states, and create a company? Oh ya, that was me...
I do love my job and each day seeing my students makes it all worth it. But I feel that I could be doing so much better. I know I am capable of more. So why is it so hard? It's because I'm HUMAN! Juggling and multitasking is a teacher's bread and butter, but there's only so many hours in the day. There is more to life than work. Nurturing family relationships, friendships and self care are so incredibly important.
Am I a bit down I haven't posted a new vlog in a while? Yes. Am I going to sacrifice time with my loved ones to get the vlog out there faster into cyberspace? No. The grind is a marathon, I'm in it for the long haul so I'm not going to beat myself up over it.

My message, though discombobulated at times is simply this; stop focusing on what you still have to do and focus on celebrating what you have done! You are there for your students each day; building them up, teaching them, and learning together. It's not about the destination it's about the journey. So take a moment. Smile. And always remember you ARE the difference! Now go do something fun!
